The challenge
The school's website lived on uCoz: slow, hard to edit, full of broken pages, with every photo stamped with the old domain as a watermark. Hundreds of pages of news, concerts, ensembles and student achievements had piled up since 2011 — the school's public history.
The new site had to be easy enough for a secretary and a teacher to run without technical help, fast on any phone, and launched without losing a single page or breaking the links people had shared over the years.
The solution
The project started with a full audit: every page of the old site was crawled and archived with a decision — migrate, merge or drop — and turned into a specification agreed with the school, plus a new visual identity, "Partytura".
The new site runs on Payload CMS and Next.js. Staff edit it through an admin panel in Ukrainian with drafts, version history and drag-and-drop photos; achievements are structured records, so the site builds the tables and filters itself. Content was migrated by scripts, not by hand: an OpenCV pipeline removed the old watermark from the photos, old pages became typed records — news, departments, ensembles, projects, achievements — and a redirect map sends every old address to its new page.
Key capabilities
- 01
Editor-friendly CMS
Ukrainian admin panel, drafts with autosave, version history with rollback and required photo descriptions for accessibility.
- 02
Structured content
Ten content types linked together — news, departments, ensembles, teachers, achievements — instead of free-form pages.
- 03
Automated migration
Scripts crawled, cleaned and imported the old site, pulling out ensemble leaders and video embeds along the way.
- 04
Watermark removal
OpenCV finds the old stamp by colour and text shape, then crops it off near the edge or inpaints it.
- 05
No broken links
A redirect map from every old page ID to its new URL keeps years of shared links working.
- 06
Fast and findable
Responsive WebP images, focal-point cropping that keeps faces in frame, structured data and rich link previews.

The result
The new site is live at lms8.lviv.ua. School staff can now publish news and update pages themselves, and visitors get fast pages, site search, an admissions section and a contact form that lands straight in the school's inbox.
The same toolkit — crawl, audit, automated cleanup and migration into a modern CMS — applies to any organization stuck on a legacy website builder.
